Стремительное падение концентрации кислорода в ишемических тканях провоцирует переход окислительного метаболизма в анаэробный. И  в этот момент дефицит энергии становится пусковым моментом в цепочке  физиологических процессов. Раскрытие молекулярных механизмов проявления  оксидативного стресса в тканях сердца позволит разработать эффективные терапевтические подходы к купированию этого состояния. </p><sec><title>Цель исследования</title><p>Цель исследования: анализ динамики активности глутатионпероксидазы (ГП) в тканях сердца крыс на фоне оксидативного стресса, вызванного механической травмой глаза. </p></sec><sec><title>Материалы и методы</title><p>Материалы и методы: эксперимент проводили на клинически здоровых беспородных белых половозрелых крысах мужского пола восьмимесячного возраста, массой 190–210 г в количестве 150 штук, которые содержались в стандартных условиях в виварии. Активность фермента в тканях сердца исследовали до начала опыта, а также на 1, 3, 5, 7 и 14 сутки эксперимента. </p><p>Полученные результаты опыта подвергали статистической обработке методами  непараметрического статистического анализа.</p></sec><sec><title>Вывод</title><p> Вывод: активность глутатионпероксидазы в тканях сердца крыс при оксидативном  стрессе, вызванном механической травмой глаза, наиболее эффективно стабилизируется при стандартной терапии механической травмы глаза с добавлением кверцетина в виде  инъекций.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Mechanical eye injury and damage to the blood-ocular barrier cause inflammation resulting in oxidative stress,  which, in turn, triggers myocardial ischemia, since the heart's need for oxygen exceeds its supply. A rapid decrease in the oxygen concentration in ischemic tissues causes a switch from oxidative to anaerobic metabolism, when  energy deficit initiates a chain of physiological processes. The discovery of the molecular mechanisms underlying  the manifestation of oxidative stress in the cardiac tissues will enable the development of effective therapeutic  approaches to such condition. </p><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective: to analyze the dynamics of glutathione peroxidase (GP) activity in cardiac tissues of rats in response to oxidative stress caused by mechanical eye injury.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. In our experiment, we used 150 healthy white mature (8-month old) male rats weighing 190–210 g and kept under standard conditions in a vivarium. GP activity was evaluated before the experiment and then on days 1, 3, 5, 7, and 14. Nonparametric statistical analysis was used in this study. </p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
